How to Decorate Your Fourth Of July Candy Boxes

For many people, fourth of July is the time to be barbecuing, shooting off fireworks, and spending time with family, but some people love to have political candy boxes in order to celebrate freedom. How do you decorate these? How can really make them shine? Well, read on to find out about some popular patriotic candy bags and boxes that you can utilize, and some great additions to this.

The first thing you should consider is the outside of your candy box. Red, white, and blue should be the main focal points of this, but you can utilize different types of red white and blue designs. For example, while some people may like to go with a candy box that has a flag design on it another good one is to have a solid colored candy box, and then wrap red, white, and blue string about it. You can also do this with ribbon, with choosing a solid color and then adding the patterned ribbon to this.  You may think that it’s pretty involved, but it can easily make it possible for you to have a wonderful box. Then there is the inside of the boxes.  For many people, the best way to fill these is red, white, and blue candy tootsie pops are an easy one, but you can even get chocolates in these colors for the wrappers, skittles, and the like. This is a pretty easy one, especially if you’re trying to make this a literal candy box.

Tootsie rolls, gummy bears, and even Dove candy and peanut butter cups are great for this, and you can get entire bags of these for your party.

You can also fill them with patriotic favors including stickers, glitter, some straw, and the like.  There are also some fun patriotic items including pinwhells and such. If you’re supervising the children, you can give them little mini firecrackers, but do be careful with that, since they might think they’re candy if they are young.
